TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Beau is back in kennels with us after having been in a home for a few months.
His owners said he is a very cuddly, affectionate boy but for some reason, he just didn’t like the adult son in the household so it was with deep regret that he came back to us.
They said, “he is truly a lovely hound and we all miss him. He has lots of energy and loves to visit different places. Ball games are his favourite. When we took him to Somerset, his favourite place was Glastonbury Tor. We couldn’t get him to come back down. He was happy to just stand and look over the view.”
He seems to have settled in well and enjoying the fuss from the volunteers. It’s not a male thing because he’s just as friendly and cuddly with our male volunteers as our female ones.
We think Beau would like a quiet, adult only home. We are happy to introduce him gradually to his new home to make sure he’s Ok with everyone in the household before moving in full time just to be sure.
He’s a big lad, and can pull but mostly walks beautifully by your side. He went to our Waseley walk and our volunteer said,
“He was very well behaved living up to his name seeking attention from everyone. He was well behaved but did pull slightly to get to the front though became a bit hesitant once he got there and was definitely happier in the group.
He did have a couple of moments where something scared him with him going from full fuss to jumping away and full alert and backing away for a few seconds before coming back in for a fuss. Not sure what his trigger was.
Overall he was very well behaved with no reaction to any of the off lead dogs running about, loved a cuddle from everyone and certainly loved his sausages. A lovely hound.”
So Beau will need an understanding owner who can help him with his quirks and build his confidence.
If that sounds like you, then give us a ring on 0121 426 4810 or contact us to make an appointment to come to our Broadmarsh Kennels.
