TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Meet Billy – he’s 6 years old and one of our volunteers said if she didn’t work 55 hours a week she would have him as my dog myself! ❤️❤️❤️. You can see from his pictures what a happy boy he is.
She took him to Sutton Park recently and this is her report:
Billy wouldn’t jump into he car as he’s used to the van but he seemed to enjoy the car journey looking out the window.
When we got to the park his ears were up and he enjoyed exploring. He does pull a little bit at first as he’s excited but he wasn’t difficult to walk. we went down to some woodland trails and he walked like a king and he would wait patiently when we needed a sit down he would stand right next to you.
When we got to the water he went straight to it and was drinking it as it was very warm day. There was 4 dogs of different breeds playing and Billy wanted to play with them. I nearly went into the water with him 😆.
He spent a good 20 minutes in the water standing there observing the other dogs and he even had their wet noses on him and he was not bothered at all.
He is a very playful dog and I can see how badly he wanted to play with the toys in the water. He can see the how good retirement life will be.
We walked back and saw a teeny tiny dog and he just walked past it.. he wasnt fazed by any dogs bikes or others humans at all.
There is so much goodness about Billy I couldn’t pick any faults in him. He’s playful, he’s gentle, he walks well, and he loved a good cuddle. In my opinion he will make a wonderful loving pet for someone.”
Well it doesn’t get any better than that.
His trainer told us he thought he’d be better homed as any only dog though so we’ll need to assess a bit more about that. He is a big dog and because he likes to play, he may be better suited to someone with older children rather than very little humans.
