TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Daphne is such a sweetie that our photographer gave up trying to take pics of her on her own as all she wanted to do was have a cuddle ❤️
One of our volunteers took Daphne to the Nature Reserve for her first outing and she reported, “She needed help to get into the car but then settled for the short journey.
She jumped out when we got there and was confronted by large hissing swan looking for food, but she just ignored it (I think it frightened me more than her!).
We walked on her was tail up and she sniffed all around. We met a lady and 2 black Labradors which startled her at first and she backed away (think this must have been her first experience with a different breed).
I chatted with the lady and fussed the dogs, and Daphne relaxed more and didn’t react when one of them had a sniff of her.
She had a paddle in the stream and met some other dogs which she was just a bit wary of. I stopped for a sit down on a bench she put her front paws on my lap and came in for a cuddle.
She also enjoyed some treats. A lovely girl who loves a cuddle who I’m sure will become more confident with other dogs if she has some more trips out.”
What a great report – we don’t think Daphne will be with us long so if you are interested, then please call us on 0121 426 4810 or contact us to make an appointment to visit our kennels.
