TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Introducing Mr. Cool
Ice is quiet, gentle boy who we thought was cat friendly but sadly after 48 hours in a home, decided it was all a bit too tempting. So he will need to go to a feline-free household.
But for that short period of time his adopter said he was a lovely boy who in every other way was the perfect gentleman.
One of our volunteers took him out to the park and said,
Ice and I enjoyed a lovely stroll at the park today. He needed a helping hand into the car but once he settled he travelled well. We started in a quiet spot to get him accustomed and he walked beautifully without pulling at all.
We met a couple of confident Shih Tzu’s but Ice was scared when one barked quite fiercely. He was quickly reassured and happy for me to chat briefly to the human with them. Ice was submissive with everything and everyone we came across, not really wanting to engage. I thought he might change his mind when we came across a lovely greyhound friend for him, but as she came to say hello, Ice very quickly ran to lean against me. Again, he was fine while we stood to chat briefly.
He seemed to enjoy being out, but isn’t sure about all the strange sights at the park. A beautiful boy who will no doubt come out of his shell the more he gets out and about.”
When his trainer brought him in she said he was going to be “the perfect pet.”
We do think Ice would prefer the quiet life in a home with no small people as children may make him anxious. We also think he may need someone who is home most of the time as he gets very attached to his handler.
If you think you like a quiet life and are looking for a companion, then Ice may just be the dog for you.
