TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Bandy was in a home for a short while but came back. They said he was lovely dog but turned out to not to be the right family for him.
He didn’t really like sharing with their two greyhounds.
We’s now in a foster home as we wanted to see what he was like as an only dog and we would like to find him a forever family.
Here’s an update from his foster mum:
“Bandy likes toast. He is a lovely lad. He loves his fuss and will lean on you for ages for a love.
He likes his Foster dad to sit on the floor with him rubbing his belly while he lies there with his legs in the air.
He is clean in the house. He is a bit of a counter surfer but is getting a lot better. He will lie quietly while you eat, unless it’s toast, he adores toast.
He loves his walks and walks well on the lead. He is fine with other dogs and walks with a miniature schnauzer most nights with no problems. He is walked by the canal and ignores the ducks and geese, even when hissed at by the geese. He doesn’t like cats though.
He has one issue, his bed. He will lie on the floor for cuddles but does not like to be interfered with on his bed, at all. He has very bad sleep startle too and we’re working on this. Therefore he would not be suitable with children and maybe better as an only pet.2
He has a head tremor which is fairly common, but does not seem to bother him at all. It starts for no apparent reason and lasts from a few seconds to a couple of minutes. He can go a few days without it happening. It stops on its own but, if given a treat that he has to stretch for it stops instantly.
He is a lovely bouncy boy who loves to be part of everything you are doing. Did I mention he LOVES toast?”
Bandy has lots of love to give and will be a fabulous companion in a quiet, adult only household. All he wants is a family who understands his quirks and understand the saying, “let sleeping dogs lie.”
If this sounds like something you can give him either in a forever or foster home, then give us a ring on 0121 426 4810 or contact us to come and visit this lovely boy.
