TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE
He Bandy is a gentle boy who is a bit on the nervous side but once he gets to know you he greets you with a waggy tail and a big smile. We see him gaining in confidence with each day that goes by.
We do know he loves his treats 😋 so watch your fingers! Because he’s so foody, we think he’ll respond well to training!
He’s a stunning lad, who is almost completely black except for a small white tuxedo chest- a real black beauty
One of our volunteers took him out and about recently and this is what Bandy told us about his adventure:
“Hello everyone Bandit here but you can call me Bandy, everyone else does! Today I travelled to this strange place called the park.
There were lots of people with small furry things running around that i was quite keen on, but then I sniffed one of their bums and it turns out they’re greyhounds too, just small and fluffy versions! The human thought my prey drive would be bigger but once I’d sniffed one I wasn’t fussed, i even managed to walk nicely behind three of them for a good 5 minutes.
The human said I was such a good boy, especially when travelling in the car, that I could pick my own treats out from the pet shop! Naturally while I was there I had to mooch around the rest of the garden centre. I didn’t know what a garden was but the human said I’d find out when I got a home, I cant wait.
On leaving the garden centre a man said the human could have lots of meat for me for a low price of £30 instead of £50 but the human said I hadn’t been that good of a boy!😭 Oh well, no steak for me but I did tuck into some beef, lamb and apple treats I picked out.”
We think Bandy is probably a bit too nervous (and a bit too foody) to be homed with small children so a quiet family with no children or maybe sensible older children may be OK.
