TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Dixie is a slightly mature gent who has spent a long time chasing that bunny and now deserves a soft doggie duvet to spend his retirement.
One of our volunteers, Donna said about Dixie,
“I walked Dixie last week and he walks lovely on a loose lead and doesn’t pull at all.
He is a little nervous and does get startled by sudden noises and is a little reluctant to be stroked at first but hopefully in time and lots of TLC his confidence will improve.
We didn’t see any other dogs or furries on our walk so I don’t know how he is with others.
He wasn’t really interested in playing with toys in the paddock but instead he preferred to trot alongside me once he realised I wasn’t so bad.
Hopefully with a few more outings and long walks he’ll realise that life isn’t so bad.Looking forward to getting to know him better. He has the most beautiful frosty face ❤️❤️”
His trainer told us when he came in that he’s a lovely friendly hound once he gets to know you and loves a fuss.
Sounds like Dixie would prefer a quiet household where he can relax and feel safe. If that is you, then give us a ring on 0121 426 4810 or contact us to come and visit this lovely, sweet boy.
