TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Harvey is fairly new so we’re still learning about him. But what we know is that he is a big friendly chap who one of our walkers said he was a “beautiful companion. His tail never stopped wagging.” Another volunteer said “Harvey can pull a bit to start but soon settles down to walk at your pace.”
A bit of mixed report regarding other breeds of dogs – He seems to do very well in quieter areas, “We met some small dogs and the owner stopped to chat with us, he let his dog close to Harvey who was absolutely thrilled to meet another dog, gave no reaction at all other than even more tail wagging 😍.
But he got overexcited in the wide open space of a local park with other dogs running off lead, ducks, geese, not knowing where to look first.” But that’s not unusual for a newly retired hound. We think he would benefit going for walks where things are quieter and calmer like a walk in the woods or road walking around the neighbourhood to start.
We’re sure with more time out in the big wide world he’ll settle down nicely but he will need a owner who will support him with his transition from kennel to couch.
If you’d like to meet him, then give us a ring on 0121 426 4810 or contact us to make an appointment to come to our Broadmarsh kennels.
