TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Quiet boy Jimbo just loves his bed, but don’t let that fool you, there’s an energetic bundle of fun just waiting to play with you. Our volunteer, Niki told us recently, “I took Jimbo into the play paddock…wow he loves to play with all the toys his so energetic and playful! He would have kept going all afternoon chasing the ball and throwing that goose around, I sat down with him for a little rest and he enjoyed some fuss, can’t believe he hasn’t been snapped up!”
But unfortunately Jimbo hasn’t been snapped up – he’s been with a little while know – possibly because he’s a little older with a greying face. But don’t let that fool you, Jimbo would be a perfect dog for an active household.
He can be strong on the lead, but fine with a harness. He is so funny in that he pulls until he gets into the play paddock. tosses his toys around then sits in the shade with his foot on his favourite goose.
Jimbo is also a star at enrichment activities, successfully finding all the treats by himself (once he figured out there was more to the game than there being a ball to play with!)
On a recent trip to the park, Jimbo was fine with all breeds of dog that he encountered, both big and small, and wanted to make new play friends with just about every one of them.
After some initial excitement he even managed to ignore the small yappy ones! In actual fact the most interesting thing Jimbo saw in the park were joggers, and he definitely wanted to go run beside them.
If that sounds like you please get in touch, who knows, you may even get a new jogging partner!
If you’d like to come and meet Jimbo, then give us a ring on 0121 426 4810 or contact us to come and visit this lovely boy.
