TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Kavarna is a small, gentle, 6 year old greyhound who you don’t even know is there…and that’s his problem. He’s not one of those hounds who stands out when people visit and is getting overlooked despite those magnificent, expressive ears.
But this boy is one of the sweetest dogs you could ever meet. He looks at you with those soulful eyes and beautiful frosted face.
Twp of our volunteers, Neil and Heather, took Kavarna to Sutton Park recently and they said they couldn’t fault him. He ignored little dogs and walked beautifully on the lead. He enjoyed sitting and watching the ducks in the company of his humans.
Kavarna went to the Lichfield Christmas Fayre and was good as gold. He loved a cuddle, watched the Rock Choir sing, wasn’t too fond of the Morris Dancers (too noisy!) but had a good day out
Kavarna is now at our Broadmarsh Kennels and one of the volunteers there said, “My second walk today was with Kavarna. My first time walking him, and i found him to be very well-mannered. He walks quietly on a loose lead and likes to look back and check up on you every so often – what a sweetie!
He also walks well alongside you on a shorter lead. We met a man carrying his Scottie, and Kavarna stood patiently while we chatted. He does pull a bit when he sees other dogs, but shows no aggression. On the way back he watched with interest as a spaniel ran around playing fetch with his dad in the field. Overall a very well-behaved boy who will make a lovely pet – with the added bonus of a wonderful pair of ears!
Because Kavarna is a sensitive soul, we think he would like a quiet, adult only household or one with sensible older children and in return he will be the most loving, loyal companion.
If that sounds like you or someone that you know, give us a ring on 0121 426 4810 or contact us to come and visit Kavarna and his wonderful ears!
