TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Gentle giant Malcolm is the biggest love sponge going. We’ve had a lot of love sponges over the years but Malcolm ranks right up there with the best of them. He has well and truly perfected the greyhound lean.
Malcolm enjoys his playtime with our volunteers. Here is what they have to say:
“Malcolm was a real star in the play paddock. He LOVES tennis balls, and would quite happily play by himself with one for hours, dropping it and kicking it. At first he would just run around with it in his mouth, but it didn’t take him long to realise that if he brought it back and sat down with it near the human, it would get thrown for him again! Who is training who here! ”
Footballs are also a firm favourite with Malcolm When you can’t decide which football to play with so you say, why not have all 4 😂😂😂 . Our volunteer Donna, said, “I’ve never met such a playful hound as Malcom. Wow what a lovely chap he is! At one point he had one ball in his mouth, kicking one with his nose and chasing another! Such a happy Chap and came back on recall when I needed to put his lead back on. Followed by cuddles in the office with Arthur ❤️❤️❤️
P.s yellow ball was his firm favourite ❤️
He is also a dream to walk. Volunteer Nigel said about Malcolm: “He was happy walking in a small group of of hounds without his kennel mate Mia. Very easy on the lead and not at all reactive with two small dogs we met on the way back through the woods. A joy to walk and what a leaner!”
Malcolm and his kennel mate, Mia went to our Worcester walk over the weekend. Both behaved so well and took all the new experiences in their stride, Noise, dogs running around, children, small fluffies and even ducks. Both walked well on the lead, alert and interested in what was going on around them. They enjoyed a fuss and Malcolm has the most incredible lean, if Ben, his handler had moved he would have fell over.
