TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Rocky is a very gentle greyhound. One of our volunteers who took him off site recently reported:
“Monday was a lovely day for a walk and most of the volunteers at Broadmarsh kennels. Managed to take out Rocky, who is a tall elegant boy with excellent manners. He likes to walk ahead but never pulls. He paid no attention to a spaniel we met and didn’t even notice some of the squirrels I spotted! He is fairly quiet and seems to be a gentle boy. He was a delight to take for a walk. Afterwards I gave him a brush and he stood very nicely until I was done”.
Another volunteer, Jill, also took him out and said,
“He walked alongside Martin very quietly on a loose lead, in his usual well-mannered way. He didn’t pay much attention to the other dogs at the park, but did pull a little, seeming to want to get a closer look. He did find the squirrels much more entertaining this time, and by the time he saw the fifth one it got a bit too exciting and he had a little sing song! Overall he was a joy to walk, a lovely chap.”
