TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE
One of our volunteers emailed to day to say he Just got back after walking Snowy in Sutton Park, and said
“He walked at my left side on a slack lead the whole way (except for diversions to water the odd tree!). We met only 2 dogs, so there’s scope for an opinion change here, but with a small (miniature, if there is such a thing!) Bassett type hound nose to nose, just a waggy tail and a good sniffing exchanged.
Later, we passed a small fluffy white thing; he looked at it, but (on a slack lead) made no attempt to go after it. He travelled well in the car, too, lying down most of the way. His next trip out should be to the bistro, to see how he is with
more dogs and dogs running about, but at the moment, he looks like an ideal dog to me.”
We know that Snowy can be a bit excited when her first gets out of his kennels but it looks to us that he will soon settle down once he gets regular exercise. However we think he may be best for families with older children who are as robust as he is.
If you have any questions about Snowy or would like to come and meet him for yourself, please give us a ring on 0121 426 4810 or contact us to come and visit this lovely hound.
