TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Teddy is, like his name suggests, a big teddy bear of a dog. This young dog has got a lovely nature.
Two of our volunteers, Neil and Heather took Teddy to Sutton park recently and here is what they had to say about his first time ever out of kennels:
“It was very busy but he did well. He will need to get used to odd sights and sounds e.g. Kids bikes, stabilisers etc but already seemed more laid back by the end of the walk than the start. We didn’t have a problem with any humans who wanted to give him some attention.
He seemed a bit nervous with other dogs but when they got close for a sniff he seemed happy enough to reciprocate. H leaned alot into me as dogs went past and at one point reversed himself in between my legs. This was true of all sizes and breeds encountered with the exception of 3 lurchers with whom he was perfect around.
As you’ll see from photos birds were distant and he didn’t seem all that fussed by them. We didn’t see any squirrels but we did see some lads playing football. Teddy got VERY excited at the prospect of joining in! He’s probably a playful cuddle monster.
Teddy is very large and wont fit in small car boots if the back seats aren’t down and all he wanted was a fuss.”
So if you think this black beauty cuddle monster, who who is a real gentle giant is for you then Teddy is your boy.
