URGENT HOMING APPEAL for BANDIT

We have been asked to help find a new home for this lovely white and black greyhound who is 5 years of age.

He is currently living in a home with his current owners but unfortunately their circumstances are changing which means they are no longer able to give him the the support he needs. However they do not want him to return to kennels and so we are looking to get him a new home from their home.

Bandit is a very large and strong boy who just loves people and enjoys cuddles and having his ears stroked gently.

He is a playful boy and likes nothing more than to play with his toys and teddies and of course going out for walks and wanting to meet everyone he sees

Bandit is house trained and can be left alone at home without any problems , he knows his own name and does respond well to various commands like mine (if he’s picked up something he shouldn’t, he’ll drop it); bed (he’ll go to his bed); leave (this is useful when he’s out walking and he spots a squirrel? wait; go (useful when crossing a busy road )

He has got to behaviour classes and we understand he has recently passed his kennel club good citizens bronze awards an achievement which most greyhound owners will be impressed with.

Bandit’s weakness which will require an experienced greyhound owner is the fact he seems to be reactive or scared of other breeds and he can sometimes bark or tries to jump forward if and when he is afraid. He will need someone who can handle a strong dog and help him understand the outside world is not a scary place.

Whilst Bandit is currently homed with a family with a young child it might be a consideration to look for a home with no children. He does like children and playing with them however he has a tendency to muscle in when his key human is having a cuddle with or is comforting a child and with his size and playful nature it could be a problem.

Let’s hope we can get the right person interested in coming to see this lovely lad
