TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Rocket is a friendly happy boy and these photos just don’t him justice. All he wanted to do was cuddle our volunteer and wouldn’t stand away from her to have his photo taken and he doesn’t look best pleased about it.
He loves to play and will entertain himself with a ball in the play paddock which makes us all laugh.
He’s a dog who has a lot to say for himself and has strong opinions when it comes to other breeds of dogs (he’s fine with other greyhounds). One of our volunteers who is a behaviourist is working with Rocket to calm his excitement around other dogs especially those of the small fluffy variety.
So we’re looking for an experienced greyhound owner of foster carer who can work with our behaviourist and Rocket to prevent him from sending himself into orbit when out an about. We do think it is fear related rather than high prey drive and in the right environment, training, and patience he will be a fabulous pet. He really is a very friendly loving dog.
If you’d like to help Rocket either to adopt of foster, please call us on 0121 426 4810 or contact us to come and visit our Rocketman.
